I highly recommend this school for those who want to get a better job within healthcare. The teachers were excellent mentors & made sure I understood everything. I know wherever I go to work, the certificate will be an asset.
I did a lot of online research and finally found Pacific Coast Community College. When I met with the college I really liked the way that they treated me during information session, there seemed to be real respect and I was treated like a person and not a number. The program is very good, and the instructors are really supportive. I already had a job offer before I even finished the program! I am looking forward to working in the industry as a care giver and am excited about the work.
I would thank Pacific Coast community college for offering this program to me. It gave me a future to look forward to after I came to Canada. I was lost when I arrived, and I didn’t know what to do to support my family. Now everything is different this program has not only given me confidence but also a job. I would thank the admissions team and my amazing instructors for all they have done for me and given me.
I wanted to continue studying in Canada so I looked for a school that would be a good fit. When I found Pacific Coast Community College and heard about their program it seemed like it would be perfect as I have always liked working with and helping seniors. The school is very supportive and will assist me in pursuing my career as a Health Care Aide. The admission team were great to work with and it was very easy for me to get my student visa. I love my teachers and fellow students at Pacific Coast Community College.

Who We Are
We are nurses who are educators. We train Health Care Assistants and people who want to become one.
In 2004, we considered how an aging population and increasing service costs would change health care delivery. We expected positions for Health care Assistants would be created to help meet the health care demands of an aging population; but we knew service would suffer if Health Care Assistants were inadequately trained as effective members of professional health care teams.
We knew the best trained Health Care Assistants would easily find work, get personal satisfaction implementing their skills and be an asset to their workplace... from the start.
- Learn by example through critical workplace situations we role-play during class
- Practice the discipline and organization nurses expect and tag you as professional
- Keep our reputation as trainers long after you graduate
- Have at least one job offer at graduation to launch your career without job searching
We train you to be confident delivering much needed support to your clients, and to fit in with any health care service team. Our goal is to instill in you the skills and the knowledge that we would want you to have if you were caring for our own loved ones.
We are partnered with Vancouver Coastal Health, Fraser Health Authority and many private agencies across British Columbia. Over 99% of our students have job offers upon graduation. Our Acute Care Aide graduates are preferred for positions at many hospital wards.
